Short-course was back this past weekend with rounds 2 and 3 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Race teams headed to Estero Beach Hotel and Resort in Ensenada, Baja California. With just one round in the books, teams knew there were still plenty of points up for grabs, but needed to succeed in Baja.

One driver came to Baja with one thing on his mind – to win. RJ Anderson and his team came to Ensenada with one other thing, a lucky mustache. Anderson would be competing in both Pro 2 and Pro 4. Coming in with a seventh-place finish in Pro 2 and a fourth-place finish in Pro 4 during round 1.

RJ Anderson and his team sporting the stache with all the hardware from the weekend in Baja.

Anderson rode the mustache all weekend long, and it served him and his team well. Anderson dominated both classes all weekend long. Despite some bumping and carnage with Kyle LeDuc in Pro 4, Anderson was still able to make the podium.

For the weekend Anderson brought back a total of five trophies. A fast lap, second place and first place in Pro 2, and two second places in Pro 4. Anderson was on fire and handled the rough course with ease.

We will have to wait and see if Anderson can keep up the momentum when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series heads to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri June 23-24.
